Social Media - week 1

      To classify which social media platforms seem geared towards personal use and which ones seem to work better for business are our first assignment. I only knows three social media which are instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I used all three of them before but now I only using Facebook.

 

     I think the instagram is simple version of Facebook and Twitter. Many of my friends are just upload their photo with short comment. The post must have include the photo so the main purpose of this program is sharing the photos with their followers instead of conversation with each other like Facebook and Twitter. Therefore, I think Instagram is just good for personal use than business use.

 

     Facebook is now number one social networking site in the whole world. Facebook offers school community programs so it is easy to find school friends. People can share their photos and their feeling by the post. I think Facebook is more private than Twitter because they offers various privacy settings than Twitter or Instagram. Users can change the privacy setting on each individual post, from public, friends only, private, or “custom.” There is an chat service so it makes easy to conversation with friends. Also many companies are using Facebook for their business. They introduce their new products or sales by Facebook event so many people can easily join the event. Therefore, Facebook is both good for personal and business use.

 

    Twitter also have privacy service which are private and public. They offers just two privacy services. Twitter have follow system so if people have same hobby or interesting topics, they can easily follow each other. People can sharing everything with unknown people. So Twitter have less social friendship than Facebook but it is good for business. Many people are using Twitter for their business because they can easily sharing with many people. Therefore, I think Twitter is good for business use.

   Today, Social Networking Services are getting increase more and more. Many people are using their own SNS. Therefore, many crime are occur in SNS which are swindle and misrepresentation. I hope people are using their SNS in good way.
