I
think the Swagelok and Richsoil websites have a number of problems. The
websites are too complicated and have too much information. Swagelok explained
in detail the company products, and the Richsoil website explained everything
on one page, thus making it hard to read and also boring. I think it would be
better to divide the section with several links. Also, it is hard to find the
contact information. The explanations and resources are very informative and
well-written, however, so if they organized the website in a better way the
overall assessment would be much better.
I
think the Toyota and Apple websites are well organized. These websites are very
bright and look clean, thus making it very easy to find what I want. Toyota
cars are divided by sections: cars, minivan, trucks, SUVs, hybrid, and upcoming
cars. They have a link to find dealers; if a potential customer puts in an
address the closest dealer shop the address will be found. Customers can build
their own car using a car program, including knowing the price. Cars are not
cheap, and for this reason I think Toyota put a great deal of effort to
building a proper website for customers who have an interest in their cars. The
Apple website is also divided into different sections: Iphone, Ipad, and Mac.
The apple symbol is on the top left corner, so it was easy to recognize the
company and at the same time continue to emphasize its brand. The Toyota and
Apple websites are very clear and well-organized, and for this reason make the
company and the products seem more reliable.
I agree with you about the richsoil and swagelok websites. I think these bothwould be improved by breaking up the type with large interesting visuals and putting less on each page.
